At Hotel San Pedro de Majagua, we are committed to their care and restoration as hosts of one of Colombia's most ambitious projects, led by scientists Elvira Alvarado and Valeria Pizarro, in partnership with our Diving Planet dive center.

Majagua Compost

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we recycle the organic waste generated at the hotel through composting. This process allows us to create natural fertilizer to enrich our soils, reduce waste generation, and responsibly close the resource cycle.

Social Responsibility with the Population of Isla Grande

Hotel San Pedro de Majagua is committed to the sustainable development of Isla Grande by supporting social, educational, and economic development projects. We also empower the local population by integrating their artisans and eco-guides into our tourism activities, fostering the local economy through the promotion of handcrafted products and guided services while always respecting the natural environment. Additionally, we promote environmentally responsible practices and support conservation initiatives.

Solar Energy

At San Pedro de Majagua, we use solar water heaters to reduce our energy consumption and minimize environmental impact. This system allows us to harness solar energy, promote sustainable practices, and preserve the unique natural environment of the Rosario Islands.
